undefinedWho are you and what do you do for Dorn Homes?

I'm Steve Zajdzinski (Z for short) and am the sales manager at the Viewpoint community in Prescott Valley.  My new community will soon be in Prescott when we open Astoria at Prescott Lakes.

How long have you worked for Dorn Homes?

I’ve been with Dorn homes for 10 months.

What is you favorite part of working at Dorn Homes?

Everybody at Dorn Homes.  As they say, a chain is only as strong as the weakest link and the Dorn family is one strong chain.  The company is filled with people who are passionate about helping our new home buyers become part of the Dorn family.  It’s also fun to meet new people everyday at the model home office who are considering making the Prescott area their new hometown.

Which Dorn Homes Model is your favorite? Why?

My favorite Dorn Home model is the Harvest Moon.  This home design features a kitchen that is both open to the front courtyard via windows over the kitchen sink and open to the great room as well.  The master bedroom is also split from the guest rooms.

What is your favorite thing to do or place to go in Prescott?

My family loves to go downtown and walk the square and eat out whenever we get the chance.  The annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony at the Courthouse will be marked on our calendar for many years to come.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy backyard farming, raising chickens and gardening, and getting out with the family for camping, fishing and hikes.  Also, getting together with family and friends whenever we get the chance for BBQ and beer(s)!

What is your favorite...

Book? Thomas A Kempis “The Imitation of Christ"

Song? Beatles – just about any of their songs

Movie? Mission Impossible

Color? Blue

Food? Steak and Potatoes

Sports Team? NFL: Chicago Bears ; College Football: ASU Sun Devils

What is your guilty pleasure?

Watching an action movie with my 3 boys after my wife and daughter have gone off to sleep..

Tell us a fun fact about yourself.

The summer after I graduated from ASU I spent working in Champerey Switzerland as a city coordinator for a travel agency.  It was there that I learned a glass of wine at 11 a.m. In the morning was both acceptable and expected!   I also learned that there was once a musical group called ABBA that was apparently a pretty big deal.  I can also play the Tuba but that’s another story.
