Recognized by an independent panel of industry experts from across the U.S., Prescott-area homebuilder Dorn Homes, Inc. received Best Architectural Design honors by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) at its 2016 International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas. The annual event, known as “The Nationals™, is the building industry’s most prestigious event.
The largest and most successful homebuilder in Northern Arizona, Dorn Homes received both the Gold Award and Silver Award for Best Architectural Design of a single-family home.
“We are thrilled to receive the award of Best Architectural Design in the country and be recognized by our peers,” said David Grounds, owner and CEO of Dorn Homes. “This was a labor of love. Our team and the architects at Felten Group dedicated countless hours to create beautiful homes. Our designs show the pride of combining modern-nostalgic architecture with Prescott’s small town charm.”
In addition to recently winning the No. 1 Homebuilder and No. 1 Master Planned Community in Arizona by AZCentral, Dorn Homes brings a strong commitment and superb design to Astoria that exceeds the high standards of today’s home buyer.
The winning homes, the Charlotte & the Victoria, are both modeled in Astoria. Located at 1401 Varsity Drive, perched atop the Prescott Lakes master-planned community, Astoria has brought back Prescott's greatest nostalgic architecture. As guests enter Astoria through its gated entry, a quaint "Town Square Park" greets each visitor. Lock-and-leave lifestyle owners can choose between Victorian, Craftsman Bungalow, and Modern Farmhouse architectural styles. The neighborhood showcases timeless craftsmanship that incorporates Dorn Homes' "Exclusive Building Science" with countless turn-of-century color schemes. Each home features "front of home" living and a socially active community.
