Dorn Homes Construction Process

STEP 1: Work with your Dorn Homes team member to discuss and choose structural options for your new home.

STEP 2: Visit the Dorn Homes Design Center and work with your personal design consultant to create the home of your dreams. [Link to design center page] This is the fun part! You get to pick floor coverings, tile, and the colors that will make your new house your own.

STEP 3: Attend Your Preconstruction Meeting to learn about the steps we will take to create your new home. We want to ensure you know what is going on with your dream home.

STEP 4: Home construction. This is where we work our magic to create you a high performing, quality home.  We go through multiple stages during the construction process. We begin by preparing the lot and pouring the foundation. Next we put up the frame of the house and prepare the plumbing and electrical for your new home. At this point we invite you to walk-through the house so you can see all of the inner workings of your future home.

STEP 5: When construction on your new home is completed it is thoroughly cleaned and a Dorn Homes Team member walks the home to ensure it meets our high quality standards.

STEP 6: Home inspection by 3rd party Energy Star certification specialist.

STEP 7: Dorn Homes will walk you through your new home and provide an initial home orientation to familiarize you with your home. STEP 8: Time to enjoy your new home! You will receive your keys and a welcome gift thanking you for joining the Dorn Family!

It doesn’t stop there. We are always available to answer any questions you have on your home and provide regular follow-ups at 30 days and 10 months! Don’t forget to ask your home builder about the warranty that is offered with your new home.
